It sure is Doom. I had this one the back burner for ages but now that I finally played it, I'm incredibly underwhelmed. It's Fine. I feel bad criticizing it since you can pretty clearly tell it's amateur work and that there was passion behind it, but after almost 10 maps I kinda just wasn't really feeling it anymore. Enemy placement feels kinda arbitrary, with unthreatening archviles, random cyberdemons, and giant clumps of hitscanners, and the actual map design is mostly uninteresting. The custom music is pretty cool at least, it won't blow you away or anything but it impressed me more than the maps themselves did, and it sounds fairly solid. It's not the worst thing I've ever played, but I feel like that's more a compliment for how good doom's gameplay is even in random mediocre levels than it is indicative of The Warp's quality.
