Big nostalgia hours (not really). A very solid, if formulaic, set of doom maps, Nostalgia acts like a short and punchy modern rewrite of doom 2, taking you through all the same episode themes in at the same pace, but with overall shorter and more direct map layouts and a great eye for detail. The city episode especially is a really fun set of creative maps full of some great doomcute. Unfortunately the hell episode drops the ball a bit, without the early momentum of E1 or the doomcute of E2 it drags a bit, and the maps here make obnoxiously frequent use of just slapping down at least one cyberdemon per map just to be annoying and get in your way. The final icon of sin fight is at least easy but underwhelmingly short and heavily simplified. Despite these issues Nostalgia is still a pretty solid set of maps, and feels like a decent starting point for those getting into custom wads.
