Getting pretty close to 100 WADs now, might as well wrap up the remainder of the official stuff.
On one hand, Doom is an absolute classic, and thanks to all the custom content it's become one of my favorite games ever. On the other hand, yeahhh Doom 1 is far from perfect. They did absolutely nail a good gameplay flow with inherently fun core systems, but the enemy variety is pretty limited, and the quality of levels kinda drops off towards the end. Episode 1 is good and snappy fun that really knows how to keep the pace up, Episode 2 ramps things up a bit with more complex levels, but by Episode 3 things start to drag a bit, and Episode 4 is kinda unfun. It's worth playing once for the sake of the experience but in terms of actual fun its nowhere near flawless.
