Definitely a "higher highs, lower lows" experience compared to Hellevator. Skulltiverse's early maps don't exactly inspire much confidence, but there's some pretty high profile mappers in here that deliver some very solid maps, and after the first half it starts to creep upwards in quality a bit. The increased visual variety is pretty nice and there's a good selection of themes here, but I think it ends up leading to a slightly less cohesive experience than Hellevator, since every map is now fully disconnected like usual instead of all fitting inside that one skyscraper and it's continuous floor layout limitation, and none of the 6 episodes really feel "complete", there's always some weird outliers or a lackluster final map that keeps it from tying everything together in a satisfying way. Overall it's still pretty solid for a community project, and I think it manages to be a slightly better experience on average than Hellevator.
