I tried this for about 30 minutes and bounced off damn near immediately. In concept its cool but in execution it makes for a really weird experience that isn't actually as cool as it seems. Nightmare difficulty was never designed to actually be a difficulty mode for normal doom maps, so everything here is a weird gimmick experience of just sorta avoiding enemies instead of actually playing doom. It also doesn't have any form of difficulty settings since HMP and below have zero enemies and UV lacks the nightmare exclusive gimmicks anyway. There is an easier mode patch but all it does is reduce enemy projectile and movement speed a bit and nerf some enemy health and damage slightly. NIghtmare's exclusive gimmicks also don't really play super well into how doom works anyway, fastmonsters is just kinda annoying to deal with (especially considering it means archviles attack twice as fast), and while the enemy reviving thing is interesting, the fact that these maps aren't really like normal doom maps it doesn't really come into play as much as i thought because you're encouraged to just avoid enemies. NERF is probably great if you're a saveless UV only speedrunner type doom player, but if you just like doom a normal regular amount there doesn't really seem to be much here. Shoutouts to the custom music for this wad though, its pretty damn solid.
