God I am on a HORRIBLE streak of not picking fun wads to play recently. DeNapsed was something I was super excited to play when I first heard about it, and for the first 10 or so maps I think it works, but this wad is WAY too unrefined to be fun. The absolute fuckton of MBF21 custom assets are pretty neat and well made, but there's some serious bloat when it comes to the number of custom enemies and their balancing. Very few mappers really felt like they knew what they were doing with these custom enemies which makes a ton of these maps pretty frustrating and annoying to play. The further in you get the worse the maps are both to play and to look at, and when I got to around 10 or so maps left I was just completely mentally clocked out. I'd love to see these custom assets get another shot in a different wad someday but this is just way too much of a mess to make any good use of them, and even ignoring the custom assets a lot of these maps just aint it.
